Knitting a Hitchhiker

I finished a Hitchhiker scarf this week.
It is knit in Drops Delight 4ply which comes in a great range of colours at only £2.10 a ball. This scarf used 2 balls.

I really enjoyed making it, watching the colour runs develop as it got longer.

It is a great pattern which is very flexible. You can knit this in any yarn gauge and any length by following the clear instructions. It is a strange sort of saw shape but drapes really well when you wear it.

I blocked it to get sharp 'teeth' and pointy corners.

This one is going into my present box for Christmas.

Happy Knitting!
Jo xx

  1. So effective with the colour change. I think I need one too K xXx

  2. I have squished this yarn a few times but never used it. It looks great. I love self striping yarns, so effective with very little effort.

  3. Jo that scarf has turned out brilliantly. It looks wonderful well done

  4. I am so glad its not just me starting on the Christmas gift making, it certainly is a beautiful gift.

  5. I usually stay well away from 4 ply and stick with chunkier stuff but this is just lovely. This pattern is in my queue and seeing this I think it has just moved up a few places!

  6. It looks good I like your yarn choice. I've just completed my first and am starting again for Christmas presents.

  7. Another lovely make that makes me want to make one! Bravo! xx

  8. Ooh I like this xx love green xx who was the lucky clock winner? Xxx
