Really, it is a disgrace how I have let stuff get out of control. This is our office. It is actually so bad that I have started to avoid going in there except to blog. I haven't made any scrapbook pages or birthday cards for ages because I can't see the desk and the bin got too full somehow...
and I was doing too many different little jobs all with their own resources - now I have my teaching one so I can par down.
That chair is actually broken and we keep wheeling it around to squeeze in another chair! |
Anyway here it is now with a new chair and a seat cover which I found in the airing cupboard...oh that was another nasty area!
This wasn't without pain, it took just over six hours (til 9pm hence the dark photos) and the paper recycling bin is full and I had two additional bin bags.
The de-cluttering is done now so it is time to be creative. Watch this space...
Do you have a messy corner that needs some attention?
I bet you do, go on tell all!
Jo xx
Well done. I've got a very messy space at the moment. Don't know if I could be brave enough to share.

Top marks to you Jo, that was a huge task and yes, I'm still cheering you on. I reckon you must be feeling great now after all you've accomplished the past few days and I really do take my hat off to you :)
ReplyDeleteNow what can we expect next along the creative line …. enjoy, xoJoy
I've go messy spaces everywhere, my studio is new and it's full of clutter. On a positive note, it's a sign of a creative mind. :)

Beautiful space, well done.
ReplyDeleteWell done you - great job! Watching this space in anticipation :-)
ReplyDeleteHope you're getting out & about in the sunshine too? Xx
It looks as though you have done masses!!! You will be able to do all sorts of lovely creative things in your study area now! xx
ReplyDeleteWell done! I'm tackling the airing cupboard today, and yep, every corner of our office is a cluttered mess - I know it's time for a clear out when I cease to call it 'the office' and start referring to it as 'the giant skip'! Chrissie x
ReplyDeleteNow that looks clean and very inviting for a creative gal like yourself. Love it.
ReplyDeleteWell done Jo. Looks like a job well done. Sometimes I think it's the thought of having to tackle these jobs rather than the just doing it. I'm sure you will reap the rewards of all your hard work.

We're in the middle of a huge sort out but at the moment we're at the 'things have got to look worse before they get better' stage. Fingers crossed! Jane x
ReplyDeleteExcellent job, Jo. It's messy city in our house. We've had builders in and they're coming back so there's no point in doing any tidying or decluttering as yet *sigh*. Also, I got rid of a bookcase which was a very stupid move and our computer room has piles of books lining the walls. I'm a complete fool. xx
ReplyDeleteYes, I am still cheering you on, too ! I feel better organized just having witnessed your latest achievement in decluttering :) Thanks! xx
ReplyDeleteIt looks good, Jo. You did a lot of de-cluttering and I know it must feel great.
ReplyDeleteMessy corners are my house's main feature alas Jo! You have done a brilliant job here-it looks great and so inviting ready for a new project to be done. I am inspired...I shall make a start!! xx
ReplyDeleteErrr my whole house?! This looks really satisfying, yep it took hours but how lovely it is now :-) Our smallest room was a DIY storage space but I've managed to claim it for my sewing machine. Hurrah!
ReplyDeleteNo messy corners but lots of messy cupboards. Our "under the stairs cupboard of doom" is a regular source of angst to me. Great job, that was clearly 6 hours very well spent indeed! x
