So, so satisfying. Searching the basket for the smallest pieces for the centre rounds and working my way up. Managing to slip in a smidgen of yellow without upsetting the whole thing, I have been quite addicted
When something is truly totally random it always seems to work. I can't force random, I am not very good at that but this worked out just fine, just a bit tricky to photograph though because it is quite long.
I am going to put it around the bunk beds at the cabin because my ethos for decorating in there is that everything should be something that was going to be thrown out and this fits the bill perfectly. Hand on my heart everyone, with the teapot cozy and this bunting I am ALL out of scraps!!!!!! only lovely packs of yarn in my stash now.
More sunshine anyone?? Jo xxx
I love it!! It will be so great for your cabin and definitely fits with your ethos for it. Also, you can now break into all your new balls of yarn and make something else!! I am no good at random either, but apparently random is not as random as we think and actually is more regular than we realise, so don't worry about not being random!! I hope that last bit makes sense and isn't too random! xx
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely Jo! I think you did well photographing your banner

looks great! such a good feeling when the scraps are cleared up and instead of the bin they went into something lovely like this! that cabin of yours sounds nice.
ReplyDeleteI love it, such a beautiful thing made out of scraps. A perfect thing for your lovely cabin. I too am enjoying the sun and the garden.
ReplyDeleteLoving! It's such a satisfaction to turn scraps into festoon...totally random!
ReplyDeleteThis is fantastic! I love it! welldone on not wasting any wool!

Ah it's very pretty, Jo, and will suit the cabin perfectly. What an achievement to use up all the little scraps - I'm afraid my stash is too much and doesn't really include any little scrappy bits so can't really justify buying new but I'll be looking forward to seeing what you do with yours. Have fun! xoJoy
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Jo! I can't believe you are all out of scraps now, I have so many around my house that I could probably make a bunting that goes down our whole street! Great work, I bet your cabin is looking lovely. Have a great week, Julie x
ReplyDeleteIt's brilliant! How well you did to make something so gorgeous from your scraps. It will look great in the cabin-well done! xx
ReplyDeleteLove it Jo. Looks like we can add bunting to the list for using up scraps. I don't know why I didn't add it to the list when I was thinking about projects. I know when Lucy from Attic24 was doing her Yarndale thing buntings were all over the place. Your bunting turned out so cute and it was a great idea for busting the scrap stash.
ReplyDeleteWell girl, it is time to do some more crochet and once again build up your bits and pieces of left overs. Have a great weekend,
(((HUGS))) Susanne :)
Well done! how brilliant to use your scraps to make something so pretty, Sam xx
ReplyDeleteLove the bunting. Perfect use of all those scraps of wool. x
ReplyDeleteThey look gorgeous, what a great way to use scraps!!!
ReplyDeleteI am in awe of your randomness!! And so thrifty using your scraps. The end result is terrific, well done x
ReplyDeleteLove it. I shall make some for my garden as we seem to be spending so much time out there at the moment. Then I shall wait to see my husbands face............
ReplyDeleteIs there such a thing as no more scraps? I am amazed!!! I love your bunting, very pretty.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Meredith
I'm sure it won't be long before the scraps stash grows again.
ReplyDeleteS xx
Cute! What a great way to use up those odds and ends! Bee xx
ReplyDeleteYay Jo. That's an amazing piece of work. Random rules.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, I agree random is the best and this project proves it. Very nice!
ReplyDeleteYou clever sausage you - it's fab! Jane x
ReplyDeleteIt's very pretty thing from the scraps!! Congrats!!
ReplyDeleteAhhh, this looks great! And I think it would look really good in the cabin too. I love any kind of bunting, it is essential to every home. :)
ReplyDeleteLove this Jo, so bright and cheery. I am very tempted to make some bunting too...

I've tried to start using up my scraps by making loads of little flowers and I had really good intentions; got all my ends out and started. I made about 5 before I got bored :(
ReplyDeleteYour bunting is a much more satisfying idea and I think it looks completely random but each triangle fits nicely with the next. So no scraps at all?! Good work!
It's lovely. I am always ridiculously pleased when I can use up every.last.scrap of yarn, it's just so satisfying. x
