Hooray! Tiffiany jumper

I have finished my Tiffany Summer cotton Jumper.

I started it on 21st May. It was really easy so I could pick it up and put it down when it suited me.

The pattern is from Classic Cafe book one by Rowan Yarns. A beautiful book of totally wearable garments. I have made four things out of it and my mum has knitted a really fabulous complex cable pattern crop cardigan from it too.

I used 14 balls of Twilleys Freedom Echo a 100% recycled cotton made from jeans and t-shirts. It is not stretchy but it feels really soft and strong.I got it from Black sheep wools, it was £1.99 a ball but it has low yardage.I made it on 3.5mm hook to get the right tension. My first attempt was huge although it is supposed to be quite a sloppy jumper style.

Right, guess what? I have to fish out that Miette cardigan now and really get concentrating, it can't hide under the sofa forever.

Have a great week everyone. Jo x

  6. It's turned out lovely Jo! I have never attempted any crochet garment before, seems too big a venture! I just love the yarn you used, both the fact that its from recycled jeans, and of course, the lovely denim blue colour.

  9. This is a lovely jumper Jo, perfect for a summer's evening. I am quite intrigued by the yarn you have used. I might buy some and replicate the my daughters cardigan (which I managed to shrink to Barbie doll size last week).
