Asparagus

I think you might know by now that I love anything free. My neighbour brought this huge bag of asparagus over. I love it!

We have had it with butter and lemon with black pepper, mixed in with gnocchi and pesto and lastly as really tasty soup.

I shall be sharing my courgettes with her when we get up to full production, they are just plants at the moment but we can never eat them fast enough when they arrive, life is better when you share.

Enjoying a beer with Bloke on fathers day this afternoon very aptly named I thought... Jo x

  3. Amazing name, shame I don't like beer! Confession time, I've never tried asparagus but I keep seeing it on blogs all the time lately so I might have to give it a go. I even had gnocchi so no excuse :)

  4. Happy Father's Day :-) And what a fun name for the brew you are drinking! My daughters enjoy baking asparagus in a bit of olive oil, salt and pepper...a yummy taste of spring in our household. I have spent an hour untangling a skein of yarn and frogging a row of my shawl today, but am determined to forge ahead and regain some ground before the day is out!

I had to laugh at the name of that beer! Hope Father's Day went well for your Bloke and you - and little ones of course!
