Papercrafting today

I felt so grateful to get my first comment on my blog a few week ago that I sent a little thank you parcel to the commenter. It is Kelly from Handmade at Home. Do pop over and give her some love. I sent her a little felt key fob and a thank you card which I made for her.

Little M would not take her hat off when we got back from the school run but crafting in a woolly hat kind of makes my heart sing especially when I made it myself.

She played with this shaker for a loooong time today - Oh what joy!

Today I did a little scrapbooking. I have been making a family tree album for over a year now with old photos of members of my family. They are a farming family and must have either had some money to spare or thought it really important to document things with photography becasue there are boxes of black and white photos to thumb through.Photography would have been a luxury in days gone by.

My grandmother was not one of those Audrey Hepburn beauties but a hard-working farmer, wife, mother and all round kind lady. I have chosen this paper as a background and these as accents:

The paper is from a pack of Laura Ashley 12x12 scrapbook papers that someone gave me for my birthday.

Here is the finished result:

One for the album, as they say... Chat soon. Jo xx
