Hooray! PJ bottoms

We are on a bit of a go slow at the moment with general illness, but there are still times for making things as always.

Big Sis has made a pair of PJ bottoms from a piece of brushed cotton she found in the fabric drawer. I still need to stand behind her and guide the fabric a bit if we want straight seams but generally she gets a good steady speed going.

It is when we do this sort of activity together that she spontaneously says she loves me! Isn't that nice? Especially on Mothers day here in the UK.

Quite big but I convinced her that when she is in the cabin she needs big warm PJ bottoms. She was pretty proud of these.
Thanks for looking.

Jo and Big Sis x
Mother and daughter.

  2. She'll grow into them before she knows it. Plus she's done a far better job than I would be able to manage.

  13. Well done Big Sis, you are proving to be a 'chip off the old block' - not that I'm suggesting you're old, lovely Jo, haha!!! It's fantastic that she wants to get into such activities with her Mum, and especially at this early age, but it doesn't surprise me for you always encourage both girls in crafting activities Jo - well done once again! Joy xx

  14. Absolutely brilliant! My 5 year old stands next to me at the machine and takes pins out of things, she loves being curled up next to me. Big Sis will remember days like that for years to come x

  19. My mom sewed all my clothes, but was not keen on exercising the extraordinary patience needed to teach me to sew :) I am glad you are helping Big Sis succeed in sewing at an early age! xx
