Today I am embarrassed to show you these....
Honestly, our kitchen chair covers, they have been washed but then they shrank and then didn't fit properly. I made them with the left overs from my Cath Kidston curtains I made nearly three years ago.
I had these pieces left over from cutting out the quilts so I put them to good use.
Much better, that has really cheered me up today. I have had a day where everything I have tried to do had an obstacle in the way and was not completed so I went to the sewing machine to achieve something.
I have a curtain story to tell you soon but it is still developing so stay tuned.... Jo xx
Ooooh so cute. I'm cushion crazy at the moment. I did a round one yesterday. Not my finest hour The centre bit wasn't quite in the centre when I finished so I shook the cushion about a bit and now it's completely off centre and I can't get it back (without unpicking the whole damn thing). Fed up! xx
ReplyDeleteThey look great, I'm hoping to do something similar for a wicker chair in the kitchen. When time allows of course!
ReplyDeleteA lovely make over. You won't stop now!! I always find that as soon as I change one thing then it starts a chain reaction and everything gets moved and brightened up. Have a wonderful week xx
ReplyDeleteLove your new patchwork chair cushions, so pretty!
ReplyDeletethey look fab!
ReplyDeleteThey look great, Jo! Very bright and fresh.

ReplyDeleteThey are great, so fresh and spring like colours, really cheer up the chairs.

Your new covers look very pretty and I am glad that you got something good achieved! xx
ReplyDeleteOh you achieved well Jo - your covers are gorgeous and they give me an idea for my place, so many thanks! Joy xo
ReplyDeleteI love the creative ways you make use of all you have at hand, Jo! The chair pillows are a great update. My granddaughters 6 and 4 would have a wonderful time with your two girls, I bet :) xx
ReplyDeleteVery pretty, and very satisfying. I hear you about the children and their ages. I'm in the same phase, it does feel 'easier' but there is still a nagging feeling at the back of my head that I want another baby, but then I remember how much easier things are becoming.
ReplyDeleteWell now Jo they are truly lovely but I must admit I like the CK ones too. Our chair cushions currently refuse to stay on the chairs - all I need to do is reattach the ties but I never seem to get around to it (bad Jane!)Looking forward to the curtains x Jane
ReplyDeleteThat cushion is looking fab. I hate when the little things that need finishing sneer at us cos it knows that you dont have time to fix it. It is so very satisfying to finally getting them done, even it is just a little job..

What a transformation! They are very pretty, a huge improvement. I can imagine that was a very satisfying job ticked off the list. x
