It is two yo yo's joined together with a self covered button on the front and a normal button on the back. A little bit of patterned ribbon and hey presto! a beautiful homemade present.
Then I sat back and admired the anemones for a while.
They would make great teacher leaving presents - if it is not too late...
Enjoy the sunshine! Jo xxx
A lovely gift, Jo, and I so admire your anemones, too! I have never grown them, just bought some cut ones once. We had a very informal picnic out beside the girls' wading pools the other night and were so thankful for the breeze that cooled us since we are having a very unusual long stretch of hot weather here. Wishing you a yours more happy sunny days. :) xx
ReplyDeleteI love your gift - such bright colors and so beautifully made. The flowers in your garden are just beautiful. How lovely to be able to sit outdoors crafting and enjoying such a beautiful view.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a lovely leaving present, must bookmark this page for next summer. I spent most of the hot day at the sewing machine.... the dining room (where I sew) is the coolest room, particularly with the French doors open. Just a hem to go, once I decided how short is too short for a 45 year old with knobbly knees. Have a lovely weekend. x
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing your creation.x
DeleteA lovely gift, such a wonderful idea. I am thinking I may use that idea as present toppers this year for my Christmas gifts.
ReplyDeleteooh yes, I have dome Christmas leftover fabric bits from stockings I made. Jo x
DeleteReally lovely Jo, and I love the button, might have a bash at some - how do you attach the covered button to the yo-yo?
ReplyDeleteI sewed straight through, it had a hoop on the back. I sewed both buttons on at the same time. x
DeleteSuch a pretty little gift, lovely colours. Your garden looks lovely too.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend.
