Dotty about Spotty

I may be entering my first ever fabric rut. When I went to the cupboard for a little look at what I might work on next I was overwhelmed with spots and no green in sight.

From the bottom up: black and white cord spots, jersey spots, cotton spots, chambray spots, viscose spots, lightweight pale cotton spots and finally red cotton stretch spots. All types of fabric covered and they are all indeed covered in spots.

I need to get my thinking cap on... Jo x

  1. Good Morning Jo, I smiled when I saw your cupboard filled with spotted material, because when I look in my cupboard, it is filled with various colours, but the one thing a lot of the material has in common.... is hearts.... I love hearts. We are all drawn to what we love the most.
Before I go, I wanted to say, I loved the blouse you re-made.... it is lovely.
    Best Wishes

  2. I would pick out the floral, I don't have any spots as I am not keen but I think I am unusual in that. I have lots of flowers, a few plains and no geometric patterns, well maybe the odd one or two for balancing purposes but I don't really care for them.

  3. It doesn't matter how much fabric (or yarn) you have in your stash, you always need to get some more.

  4. That's a lot of spots Jo. Spotty skirts and blouses are lovely (not worn at the same time!). The red jersey spots could make some comfy pj bottoms for the girls maybe? x

  5. Doesn't matter what craft materials you have they are never what you are looking for. But, if I know you, you will have made something before the rest of us have even thought about it.

  6. I think you have an excellent excuse to go fabric shopping Jo. :-) xx

  7. Very spotty indeed!!! You might need to stock up! xx

  8. How funny! I recently overhauled my fabric stash having kept so much fabric 'just in case' and realising I was never actually going to use it!
    bestest D x

  9. LOL. Looking forward to seeing what you decide, Jo.

  10. Hmmmm. You have put me on the spot, Jo. My mind is spotless of ideas of how you may use your stash of spots. However, I am confident that you will create all sorts of pretty spot on projects! xx

    1. Oh raconteur Gracie! I think that is great. Jo x

  11. I think you need to make a spotted quilt, how cute would that be?

  12. My WIP log cabin quilt is quite spotty - what can I say - I like dotty fabric. I'm sure you're already working on something with yours.
