Cabin update

For those following our cabin adventure I can show you the finished building but we are a long way from making it lovely. In all honesty it will never be very shed-chic because I want to make it a place where I reuse old things, hijack free stuff and do not spend any money and that all takes time.

It will grow with experience and stopovers then we will realise what we really need. At the moment it turns out all the children need is soil and a stick and all the grown ups need is a gas ring and a cup of tea.

I totally understand that we don't NEED bunting but little craft projects like that will all eventually make an appearance over the years.

I suppose what I am trying to say is there will never be a final 'tadah' because it is about us all growing and having adventures together there not what it looks like. Am I making any sense?!

Thanks for stopping by.
Send my bloke your love for he built this monster in three days with help from his brother and his dad.
Thanks Andy Love Jo x

  6. It's amazing, Jo. He's doing a wonderful job with it. I understand wanting to hang bunting. I'm trying to come up with a weather-proof bunting for my chicken coop. :)

  7. I certainly do send your bloke my love, as well as congratulation, for a job extremely well done! My word, it's looking great Jo, how exciting and what fun times you can all look forward to as it, (and all of you), grows, becomes seasoned, and settles into providing what's needed. I am really happy for you - enjoy! Love, Joy xo

  9. Well done to Jo's bloke and other blokes who helped! (I'm clapping here.)

It's going to be fabulous and I'm already envious. I for one don't want a ta-do, I'd much rather see the slower process of how it all comes together over time, that is much more interesting. And I don't think there's any harm in the odd string of bunting... xx

  10. You are a great chap Jo's bloke.

The shed looks marvellous. What fun the whole family are going to have finding and making stuff for "The Shed".
But, it does "need" bunting to get the journey started.
    Hugs

  14. Yes, kind of like a garden that grows and adapts over the years rather than a sudden makeover. I find there is much more joy in it that way.
Well done to the blokes :-)

  15. Your cabin looks lovely and you are so going to enjoy it. I love my dragon's den and spend lots of time hiding away in there, but it is definitely still a WIP. It's had another coating of cuprinol just this weekend and I already have a few ideas buzzing in my head as to make better use of the space. Yours will evolve as you and your family grow but one things for sure you will get a lot out of it. So ENJOY.

  16. What fun!!! I send my love to your bloke, too :) My home is always a work in progress as I rearrange, give away, create, destroy, procure things, and enjoy the space around me. Bunting is necessary!
    Celebrating life! xx

  17. Fantastic!! No one *needs* bunting, but there are needs and wants ;-) It's looking fab and it's good that you're not trying to 'get it done' & that it will evolve as a space which works for you. You'll have loads of fun finding things for it I'm sure!
