April ...ing

Making - Saxon mittens from my favourite knitting book.

Drinking - Rhubarb and ginger cordial.

Cooking - in batches for the freezer in case we get nice weather and I want to be outside instead of in the kitchen.

Eating - A steak salad, at home, on my own - bliss!

Wanting - Warm weather really really badly.

Deciding - How many work contracts to take on for the summer.

Fixing - The pockets on my winter coat before I put it away.

Wearing - woolly clothes still.

Enjoying - The final furlong on our king sized quilt.

Considering - My next quilt construction.

Loving - My new pin badge.

Watching - Our sheep give birth.

Thinking - How we will love living at the farm one day.

Disliking - Putting things in landfill.

Getting -  Another Skip at the farmyard (major contradiction)

Laughing - At their whispered pre-planned tricks!

Buying - New yarn from a local producer on holiday. Swoon.

Wondering - What to do with it.

Feeling - Ready for Spring to come up and bite me on the bum!

  4. What a lovely April so far! I think you have been a veritable work-horse when it comes to making this year with your scarves, mittens, quilts and clothes! I can spy a few of the remaining fabrics I sent you last year - it's so nice to see them being used so creatively!

  5. What a lovely post Jo. Wow, the binding is on! You must have been working night shifts on your quilt. I imagine hand quilting it is quite tiring on your hands but I hope it is not too bad. I have started a new handpieced quilt. Crazy, I know. I enjoy it so far. Still waiting for some wadding to arrive for James' quilt. Your April is looking good so far and I hope it continues to be good. Living on a farm is a secret little dream I have. I always wanted to be a farmer when I was a little girl. I remember this was surprising to my parents, no farming background in the family at all. Of course I'd be completely hopeless at farming! I hope your lambs are doing ok with the unusually cold spring? Love the yarn, I am going to consult google in a moment to find out more. I can see a shawl in this skein. xx
