So what did I make with 7 metres...
I made two pairs of door curtains, one for the french doors and one for the utility side room. 1 simple blind, 2 seat covers (now worn out) 4 placemats with feature pieces, a pump bag motif and a patchwork shopper.
I am 'All done #4' with Provence Rose.
Are you using new or leftovers in your crafting this weekend? Jo xx
Sorry folks, just realised I have missed off the girl's hat I was making today which inspired this post in the first place because it used up the very last bits! Honesty, that's the sort of week I am having.. and a hat.
I'm using leftovers to make simple hair scrunchies.
ReplyDeleteIm using new. I bought some new green yarn for a nice big comfy sweater that I'm knitting for myself. Can't wait to try it on. Your curtains look great, both pairs. Looks like you got really good use out of this fabric :)
ReplyDeleteBirgitta xx
I'm using new, but small leftovers to make baby bibs for a craft fair to raise money for a local hospice. I love the fabric you used, I still have some leftover from another project. I really liked the idea of the placemats. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteYou have certainly got great use out of this fabric! Everything you have made is just lovely.

You are very industrious indeed x
ReplyDeleteLots of lovely things but I think my favorite is the girls hat....
ReplyDeleteYou are brilliant! I love each and every thing you have made.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Meredith
Great hat! I love that fabric too - still have some leftovers in my stash from a cushion cover I made a few years ago. Love your curtains especially :-)
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend,
Xx
I'm sorting leftovers to make baby blankets!

It's a gorgeous fabric and you've certainly put it to good use Jo, producing some lovely pieces as well as the gorgeous curtains, well done! xoJoy
ReplyDeleteLove your crafting for the home. I've just bought 3 pairs of curtains from my local charity shop, will be turning them into something soon.
ReplyDeleteIt's one of my favourite fabrics too! Love all your makes, there is something rather satisfying about using up scraps...the challenge of it!! Have a lovely weekend. Sarah xo
ReplyDeleteReally great to see how you have used every last scrap.
ReplyDeleteHugs
I'm so impressed, Jo! You did so many different things and used it all up. The hat is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThe bags are very original and the placemats supercute! happy weekend!:::Silvia
ReplyDeleteWow, you are ingenious with your use of every last bit! I love all those makes, I can't choose a fave! Chrissie x
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness Jo, you are such a talented lady - you really know how to get the best out of everything Jo and you are an inspiration to me everyone time I visit you. Have a wonderful weekend, big hugs and loves to you Jo. Dorothyxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
ReplyDeleteAwesome Jo! Love the curtains, wish I could get my partner to like or just be neutral to pretty things but he'd definitely say 'nope!' The hat is brilliant though, is it your own design?
ReplyDeleteI've been following your mantra of 'use it all'; I made a dress out of a tshirt (to be blogged) and a headband with the scraps :D
Great, I will tune in to see, I will never forget your button skirt, Ioved that. Jo x
ReplyDeleteWhat a good use of 7 m of fabric! I really like those placemats, and your daughters hat is very fine! Sam xx
ReplyDeleteWow, you certainly made lots with your lovely fabric! I don't think that you could have made any nicer things or made any better use of the fabric. Great job! xx
ReplyDeleteWell you made that piece of fabric stretch a really long way! It's one of the nicest patterns CK did, I think. Do yarn and fabric scraps really bother you? They do me, a bit. I like to keep them organised and labelled even if I don't use them up right away. I tend to buy fabric in small amounts and now have a drawer bursting with scraps. I'm thinking a hexie quilt will help use some up. Love the blind best of all - the bobble trim is great. x
ReplyDeleteThat hat is amazing, you are so clever and I love how you use every last piece! I really like the blinds too, and the curtains. Provence Rose is my favourite fabric by Cath Kidston, it is just so pretty. :)
