I have always wanted to knit and wear some Noro yarn but it has simply been out of my price range. Anyway, there was a sale on at black sheep wools who were offering Noro Chunky in a sale. My first ever purchase of wool for myself for sooooo long (about a year I would say) I always manage to make a silk purse from a sows ear and now I have my very own silk.
I have a pattern in mind from Ravelry which is here.I have done a tension square (get me!) and I can get the pattern gauge on 6mm needles. I have some really thick stretch jersey to make a mini skirt to wear with it.
All together now... OOooooooooooo! Jo xx
Absolutely gorgeous Jo, cannot wait to see what lovely creation you make from this lovely yarn. I worked with it many years ago when I got some in a sale at Chester, it was so lovely to knit with and the cardi I made is still going strong. A great post Jo, thanks so much, big Christmas hugs to you

Ohh, very very exciting Jo! After all your making things from nothing, it will be fun for you to make something from something! I hope that you enjoy it and that you enjoy wearing "it" whatever the "it" is!! Can't wait to see. The colours are wonderful, such a beautiful range, but they all go so well together. I have never felt any Noro, let alone used it, so I will be interested to read how you get on. Happy knitting! xx
ReplyDeleteSometimes you just have to buy yarn, and if you are going to make something that wonderful you better have good yarn. Noro is the best you are going to love working with it.
