The only adjustment I made was to add a small cuff. The sleeves were a little short for me and the mesh pattern of the sleeves needed something to weigh it down to stop it looking straggly on the ends.
It is made from Katia Tupa DK 50% Merino and 50% Silk on a 3.5 mm hook.
I used chains, dc, a kind of 4tr popcorn for the flower petals and CTR, which is a crossed treble on the yoke which is a fine stitch.
I doesn't seem to have taken very long but I was so focused on finishing a black cardigan which I hated, I kept doing a bit of this here and there to ease the boredom and here it is already finished!
The pattern is in this lovely coffee table book.
Have a great week everyone. Jo x
Looks lovely on you Jo. Another triumph.

Your tunic is gorgeous! It looks fantastic on you. Well done.
ReplyDeleteWell how lovely to see you in your new tunic, I've been looking forward to seeing this finished. It looks gorgeous and looks just like the original, the cream colour is really pretty. It really suits you too. It's so nice to see a crochet garment. I think it would look really nice in other colours too. A reason to make it all over again?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful as always Jo! The colour is lovely and the style is fantastic. Enjoy wearing it! xx
ReplyDeleteOh that's fabulous. It really suits you
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely top and just right for this Spring weather we are enjoying
ReplyDeleteLooks lovely Jo,very summery. Shirley Smout ☺ x
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful top! It suits you really well. Viola
ReplyDeleteHello there, you look great in that tunic. I reckon you could get away with a plain top under it until the weather is warm enough for the holes! Is the top section lined, or a double thickness? Mx
ReplyDeleteNo it is not lined it is this CTR crossed treble stitch which makes a thicker texture on the area you need most coverage.
DeleteWow, I'm so impressed Jo, it looks fantastic on you and you made it so quickly. The yarn you used looks wonderful too, wool and silk is such a lovely mix to wear. I'm going to have to give this a go. When I was a student I had a lovely cream sweater that my mum (born in Shrewsbury and later evacuated to farming relatives in Shropshire!) made for me out of a nubbly cotton yarn and this has a similar look. I used to wear it with a
ReplyDeleteKenzo fabric midi length skirt, a natural leather belt and flat Greek sandals. I wore the whole ensemble until it fell to pieces and my daughter now wears the belt!
