Big weekend project

Our trailer tent has a bit of a retro vibe going on! Bit brown and orange, it is called the Dandy 3. Family friends of ours gave it to us (I know, I just keep collecting stuff) and we have only used it once when I was pregnant with Little M because I didn't want to crash on a sofa after a party!

Inside it has a bit of potential.

The double beds are each end with a little stackable kitchen thing with two gas rings and a sink. The girls thought it was great and Big Sis didn't remember it at all so it all felt exciting and new.

I am totally inspired by this on Fox Lane. Just click and swoon.

I am on the lookout for fabric to do the curtains, cushion covers and a big curtain to draw across the one bed end for them. We probably won't have week long holidays in it but for weekends at the beach it is perfect. Do you have holiday wheels? Jo xx

  1. That looks like some project but sooo much potential. I'm always really jealous of people with holiday wheels - one day maybe....

  2. Wow, it looks great inside Jo...more of a folding camper than a trailer tent. Its so light and airy, I love it.Look forward to seeing the makeover :0)

  3. Such a great thing for weekends away Jo - lots of fun for the girls - it maybe feels a bit like 'playing house' for them - and so exciting to be hunting out fabrics etc. to flash it up. I'm looking forward to the next episode of Dandy 3.
We don't have holiday wheels but I always fancied (still do) an old VW combi - although I think I'd like more mod cons included these days!
I'm sure you'll enjoy your searching and sewing! Joy xx

  4. Now that looks like fun for certain, Jo :-) I will enjoy seeing how you prepare it for your adventures! We had a huge canvas six man tent that we camped in back and forth across the USA and accumulated many good family memories along the way. A friend built a platform in the back of our van, Bluebell, and we stowed our camping gear below the platform and put a double mattress on top of the platform...so in one sense I guess we did have holiday wheels :-) Enjoy yours!!!
