I had some quilt backing left over and I am working towards my next 'All Done' post by using up this heart fabric and some curtain lining.
I am following a rather shady bit of pattern drafting made by Little M drawing around our filthy oven glove. I told her I was adding a seam allowance!
Found a last bit of bias binding trim left over from Little M's shirt dress to trim the cuffs.
Then went crazy on the free motion sewing. The top side is squiggles and the hot side is wobbly stripes.
I know which ones I prefer. Going to do jobs outside now, it has turned into a really pleasant afternoon.
Thank you to all my new subscribers, I have noticed the number creep up recently and I would like to say 'Welcome along'

I absolutely love this make x
ReplyDeleteOMG, they are so lovely!! I love the fabric that you chose and the trim, and the fact that you made them. So much nicer than something shop bought. Great job on your finishing up projects! xx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, I love the trim. Have a great afternoon in the sun.
ReplyDeleteSo cute, Jo. You're so clever. You're always making things I keep thinking I should try to make but never get around to.

What a good idea Jo. I am bookmarking this for later in the year, when presents are required for teachers and other nice people. x
ReplyDeleteHmmmm, this looks like something I could possible make...a great idea for a gift, or I'd quite like it for myself! I think the free motion sewing looks ace too!
ReplyDeleteOh they're great Jo - I love the squiggles - isn't free motion stitching a lot of fun, once you get over the nervousness of it all - well, I was a bit nervous when I started and it still gets to me a bit when I begin work on something other than practice pieces, haha, that's just me! It's so lovely to hear about the girls being included in your makes, you're such a good Mum! xoJoy
ReplyDeleteThese are fantastic Jo! I love that pink trim you added as well.

Another brilliant creation! These are just terrific - and the quilting is lovely! Was it tricky? I'd love to try it on my next quilt, but not sure I have the courage...great upcycling project! Cx
