Hooray! Tea cozy

I am working my way through a basket of bits and bobs left over from crochet classes. I took out all of the pastel, baby colours, played around and ended up with this.

Really not my colour palette but I will pop it in my present box for when I need it. Oodles more sunshine here today on the first day of our summer holidays. YAY!

  4. I love how you just rummage around in your scraps box and rustle up something so lovely, so quickly! Not my colours either but it's so pretty, it will make a thoughtful gift for someone. x

  6. It is lovely! Did you follow a pattern or make it up? I love having handmade things in the present drawer too.

    1. I made it up. A similar pattern can be found on the archive blog of Crochet with Raymond in US terms. The flowers were made up but I have done flowers like theses from 100 flowers to knit and crochet so I had an idea of their structure. Thanks Fiona.

  11. That's gorgeous, although probably 'not my colour' either but someone would be extremely chuffed to receive that as a gift!

  12. Lovely Jo just catching up with your posts and as always you pack so much in - I do love your craft displayer - I have a thing about pigeon holes and managed to salvage an old one from work which I hope to revamp but time is not on my side unfortunately so it is still waiting. I adore your tea cosy Jo - I would love to have a go at this but hopeless at following a crochet pattern - I badly need to come to one of your lovely classes. I hope we can catch up soon - I will let you know the dates for Blists Hill and if you are around it would be gorgeous to see you all. Have a great afternoon Jo, big hugs and loves

  14. Jo, it turned out adorable. Reminds me of something that is shabby country and it looks so sweet. Thank you for coming and visiting me to let me know about your project with the scraps.

  16. Not bad for a bit of 'playing around' Jo, someone will absolutely love it (and great idea to have pre-made presents stashed away!) x
