In order to 'get back on the horse' I made a face cloth out of some scraps before bed then used up all of the rest of the chunky cotton to make a loom brooch centred with a scrap-felted-jumper rose.
I felt better then because who doesn't need a flannel wash whilst wearing a brooch!!
You gotta smile. Jo xxxx
No but as I get better at this knitting lark I'm sure it will happen. Yes I expect anyone would feel happier using a knitted flannel whilst wearing a handmade brooch x
ReplyDeleteLove it xxxx
ReplyDeleteThat made me smile. I think everyone needs a flannel wash whilst wearing a brooch, don't they?
ReplyDeleteWell, I can only speak for myself, but I find it very important to accessorize before I wash my face. :)
ReplyDeleteNo, but I have knit the back of a cardi with k2, p2, rib, and then did the first one of the fronts and did k1,p1 rib ! Didn't notice till I'd finished. Didn't go back to that for a while !
ReplyDeleteOh I feel better already!!! BUM. Jo x
DeleteNo. But only because I can't knit! Otherwise I am sure that I would have done such a thing at some point. I frequently crochet too many stitches and add things in the wrong way. You are not alone. You did a wonderful rescue with your two beautiful projects though! Hope you get the cardigan sorted. xx
ReplyDeleteoh no.....but easy done! The rose brooch is just beautifull!
ReplyDeleteYou're not alone here. I do have several things that were knitted in the wrong way. The rose looks gorgeous! The brooch is also amazing. Thanks to your patters and tutorials, I've 3 3D flowers, and my niece had leg warmers. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteWarm hugs,
Matilda
That is really nice to hear. Glad you like making them. Jo x
DeleteI've never knitted 2 right fronts. But I have sewn 2 left sleeves for a blouse. I didn't notice until I was wearing it!
ReplyDeleteI have done that more times than I care to admit, brush it off and carry on my friend.

Nope....I have never knit even one sweater front...or back! So your efforts are stellar in my book, and your efforts to get back in a more positive frame of mind are exemplary to me, Jo! Well done, and thanks for sharing :) xx
