One hour wonder

Little M was getting a bit green with envy. I always make things for Big Sis because I feel like that is a good investment of time because she will get them eventually but she wanted something of her own.

I checked out Pinterest for a trouser pattern and found this great link. It shows you how to make your own pattern by drawing around the best fitting trousers your child has and then adding a seam allowance and elastic casing allowance.

Perfect.

The cord is a powder blue with flower embroidery and I had one metre but I think I have enough left for an elastic skirt too.

She was so pleased when she got in from Pre-school and saw them.
The pattern would make great PJ bottoms too.

I made a double casing, one bigger than the other because that is the size of elastic I had but I think it gives them a good finish. So what are they like on....

Ta dah! let me also invite you to admire the jumper too, my mum made it, isn't it gorgeous!

11.00am no trousers, 12.00 noon cord trousers. Superb and a perfect fit for my little skinny malinky. Jo xxxxx

  5. It always helps when they love their clothes.....as your girl obviously does. This is also a great way to stretch the clothing budget.

  7. You've done a great job Jo and Little M looks so cute and chuffed with her new clothes. I like the embroidery on the fabric and don't need an invitation to admire your Mum's beautiful handiwork - that is a gorgeous little jumper. I'd really like one of those for myself - a little bit bigger of course!!! Hugs, Joy xo
