GIVEAWAY - Make your own clock kit

I know you all loved the lampshade kits and so many people entered the giveaway last month so here is another one for you to join in with. Cover your own clock no less.

This clock kit comes from Needcraft.com all packed up in a pizza box. As with the lampshade kit, it is easy peasy to do and lots of fun to boot.

I have chosen to use some of the floral fabric I had left over from my crochet bag lining because green is my favourite colour.

I was not so keen on the colour of the red second hand so I painted it with nail varnish to blend in with the fabric palette.

It is now hanging in the spare room where I sew on the top floor because I can't tell you how many times I have nearly missed to pick the children up from school on time while trying to 'just finish' something I am making!!

Would you like to have a go? I have two kits to give away if you can answer this question. What three materials can you cover your clock face with? Check out the Needcraft website for the answer.

Entry closes on Monday 20th June 2016 when I will pick names out of a mug.

Good Luck! Jo xxx

  17. The clock looks great what a good idea to match the second hand to the colour of the fabric. Will you remember to look at the clock though for your timings. You know what you are like when you get your nose stuck in a project. Jackie

  18. Hello Jo,

Your post caught my eye! What an amazing idea!!!! The answers are fabric, also wallpaper or a digital print!

In my opinion you could go further, by designing your own clock face or use one of the mandala colouring in drawings (coloured in, of course!).

But my favourite idea would be to use a very fine (and thin) crochet doily for a clock face.

I could really use a clock nearby, I always get carried away with my crochet and totally forget time.....

I love your version, it is really pretty and totally You! :))

    1. I did try adding buttons for the numbers but I didn't have 12 the same. I tried random ones but it looked a bit mismatched with the ones I had. Jo x
